   one of the better photos of orchids i’ve seen. it’s always so very difficult to take good photos of orchids – so much empty space! how did you get this cool effect?

     Thanks for your comment Yi-ching! Shallow dof and use of flash help get this effect. The other flowers at the background filled up the rest of the space.

      I used two sets of flashes fired remotely. It also helped that therey was a nice orchid specimen available. I wanted to show the orchid in a different light.
